Week six!
Creativity is free but you can't buy it anywhere! This week we had to design a lesson graphic, which sounds easy... it was not. I have never been "artistic" or "creative". I love the idea of being creative and I immerse myself in creative content both professionally and in my free time. I like paintings photography and design I love craftsmanship, especially leather and wood. I can watch things people have made for hours but making my own creations seems impossible. I knew that this program would involve that and knew that the design portion of it would be challenging.
My creative design style is very minimalistic and simplistic. I think this can be a positive thing in course design because it can avoid anything being overhelming and cluttered. However, a possible downside can be a boring or bland presentation resulting in low engagement. I hope that throughout the program I can eventually develop a good balance and create content that is impactful and memorable. I realize that will take time and courage in getting out of my comfort zone.
